Axminster Carpets undertake all stages of carpet yarn production, from the scouring of the greasy wool through to carding, spinning and dyeing.   All Axminster carpetrs are made with "homespun yarn" from their own spinning and dyeing mill at Buckfast on the edge of Dartmoor.

  Axminster Carpets use 95% British wool in their yarns which gives the carpet a greater durability and better look retention.
